Lakota Funds Encourages Area Fundraisers

Lakota Funds recently attended the Pine Ridge and Eagle Nest College Centers Student Organization Meetings to inform the members about Lakota Funds programs and present the progress meters as a gift. The groups were presented with the charts and given an informative presentation about Lakota Funds programs with encouragement on their fundraising endeavors.
The Lakota Funds purchased progress meters/charts for the Oglala Lakota Nation Fundraisers to encourage early organizing for successful fundraising. Early and ongoing encouragement will help avoid last minute scrambling to make graduation gifts and year end trips a success. This will hopefully save a lot of stress on activities organizers.

Head-start II, Kindergarten, 8th Grade, 9-12th Grade, and Student Organizations, along with all District Councils will receive the Charts as a gift from the Lakota Funds. The groups located on the Pine Ridge Reservation were identified as they fundraise for graduations and end of the year field trips. The charts are a thermometer poster to track progress for groups fundraising and assist with motivation of members.

Lakota Funds is sponsoring a Native American Artist Meeting on October 29, 2007 and the Homebuyers Club Meeting November 5, 2007. Lakota Funds will also provide the Financial Literacy Course beginning November 7, 2007 and Core Four Business Planning Course in late January 2008.
