The Food Hut
Entrepreneurs Raphael and Theresa Mendoza had dreamed of starting a café and convenience store in Kyle. With the help of Lakota Funds and Wawokiye Business Institute their dream has become a reality.
The family built the store on their own obtaining a loan from Lakota Funds to purchase their stock and equipment. The Mendoza’s state, “We have invested every penny we have into our store with great hopes of its success.”
The Food Hut opened its doors in August 2006 located ¼ mile down BIA 4 your heading towards Allen. The store has created 9 jobs in the community.
