Phyllis Lucero-Hess

lucero Phyllis Lucero-Hess, a recent graduate of the Small Business Class " Core Four " and first time borrower of Lakota Funds is using her loan proceeds to purchase materials  for her Native arts   Ms. Hess started Tatanka Arts to create  income for her family and to be her own boss.  Phyllis creates unique Lakota beadwork, dream catchers, and bone jewelry. She sets up her wares at the Wounded Knee historical site attracting potential customers from the tourist traffic that flows through the area.   Phyllis states, "Lakota beadwork is a unique product because the artist uses their own designs and colors to make their creation special."
